As a software house and trust service provider, certSIGN supports organizations in building secure, compliant digital processes, from certificate services and signing workflows to identity and authentication components, serving both regulated and large-scale enterprise environments as well as public administration and governmental organisations.

Together, certSIGN and Lissi will offer EUDI Wallet infrastructure solutions for organizations that want to implement real-world EUDI Wallet use cases, from issuing and verifying credentials to enabling strong customer authentication (SCA) and qualified electronic signatures (QES), so customers can move faster from regulatory requirements to production-ready deployments using the EUDIW Connector provided by Lissi.

This partnership is centered on combining certSIGN’s expertise in trust services with Lissi’s advanced EUDI Wallet Connector API technology to enable innovative digital identity solutions. Our joint efforts focus on key areas to accelerate the use of the EUDI Wallet. A critical part of our collaboration involves establishing a secure and compliant infrastructure for EUDI Wallet interactions.

Trusted Partner: Romanian organizations can now access eIDAS-compliant API software for EUDI Wallet use cases via certSIGN, combining Lissi’s EUDI Wallet Connector technology with certSIGN’s proven local operations and customer know-how and supporting deployments that fit local compliance and security requirements.

Flexible Wallet Acceptance: The setup is designed for fast, low-effort acceptance of EUDI Wallets in existing digital journeys and without need for major changes to current business applications. Organizations can enable wallet-based identification (KYC) and verification of credentials (EAA) through standardized interfaces, allowing them to make processes compatible quickly and with minimal integration overhead.

Validating Real-World Use Cases

Our partnership is actively developing and testing practical EUDI Wallet use cases, moving quickly from technical setup to real-world application. certSIGN successfully showcased EUDI Wallet capabilities at major industry events. These demonstrations were highly successful and well-received, and included:

• Full Know Your Customer (KYC): A critical process for verifying a customer's identity, which was presented for banking procedures.
• Loan Applications: The use of digital identity for high-value financial transactions.
• Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES): Usage of the wallet to support legally-valid digital signatures for use in applications like credit approvals.

The demonstrations are made using a EUDIW sandbox deployed in certSIGN’s infrastructure. The sand box is available for third parties to connect and test EUDIW use cases in their systems. The sand box, which accommodates a reference wallet implementation and solutions from third parties as well, including an operational trust framework environment, is integrated with certSIGN’s qualified trust services to allow the smooth creation of qualified electronic signatures that are a key feature built-in in the EUDIW. This is allowing citizens to boost their interaction with the private and public organisations that are providing modern digital services.

certSIGN described the implementation as “easy and smooth,” reinforcing the value of our joint solution: Romanian organizations can adopt EUDI Wallet and verifiable credential use cases faster and with less technical complexity, supported by a trusted local QTSP and proven technology components delivered as one integrated offering.

Strategic Preparation for the Digital Future
