After helping to lay the foundational groundwork in the first wave of EU-funded pilots, Lissi GmbH is proud to announce its participation as a key partner in the new WE BUILD consortium. As one of the next-generation Large-Scale Pilots (LSPs), WE BUILD is tasked with piloting and shaping the future of the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet, turning regulatory vision into practical, real-world applications. The initiative is co-funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe Programme.
A Legacy of Leadership: From EWC and POTENTIAL to WE BUILD
Lissi’s involvement in WE BUILD is the logical continuation of the company's long-standing commitment to building the EUDI Wallet ecosystem. From the very beginning, Lissi has been a central contributor to the first wave of LSPs, gaining valuable experience and helping to solve the core challenges of creating a pan-European trust infrastructure.
In the European Wallet Consortium (EWC), Lissi was an active contributor to the payment taskforce, co-authoring and implementing the technical standards that will define the future of strong customer authentication. Within the POTENTIAL pilot, Lissi focused on high-assurance use cases, successfully implementing solutions for Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) and cross-border bank account opening. Beyond this, Lissi also supported key partners like the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund in their activities within the NOBID pilot. This extensive, hands-on experience across multiple consortia has given Lissi a unique and comprehensive understanding of the practical challenges and opportunities of the EUDI Wallet.
Lissi's Role in WE BUILD: Powering the Future of Digital Finance
Within the WE BUILD consortium, Lissi will leverage its deep expertise to continue its focus on advancing complex financial use cases. The primary goal is to empower clients and partners to rapidly integrate and test a diverse set of wallet applications and use cases. Lissi will provide its enterprise-grade Lissi EUDI-Wallet Connector, an API-driven software solution that abstracts the technical complexity of the wallet ecosystem. This enables organizations to focus on creating innovative, user-friendly services while relying on Lissi's production-ready infrastructure for secure and compliant interactions with all EUDI Wallets.
